I have lost time with my grandparents in the past year. Both of my grandparents are 80 years old and my grandfather has had many health problems in the last couple of years. This saddens me because I don’t know quite how much time I have left with them. It is a shame that I haven’t been able to see them for a year now. Every year since I was born, I have spent Christmas and Easter up in northern California with my grandparents. This year that wasn’t able to happen and it just didn’t feel quite the same. My grandfather has also been extremely frightened of COVID due to his age and past medical problems. He has refused to see us even though we had COVID tests. I have lost a lot of time with them and I will never get that time back which is devastating.
